BACK TO LOCAL MEDIA
If you disseminate your information via different channels, these can also be non-company platforms such as Instagram, TikTok or Facebook. Even if you are not the owner of these platforms, define clear rules that apply to the discussions under your posts, a so-called netiquette. If you delete posts or have them deleted because they contradict your netiquette, you can refer to it and thus prevent any inquiries. Think about whether and how you moderate discussions on external platforms. Platforms such as Instagram can bring you clicks, attention and, ideally, visits to your main channel. But also, be aware that by using external platforms, you are dependent on them. If the algorithm behind it is changed and now blocks the word “mountains”, all your local content relating to mountains will no longer be visible to users.
Ergo: Use external platforms consciously, with a strategy and clear rules for your users. Share recommendation |
