BACK TO LOCAL MEDIA

Local politics, local administration and the local media have a common goal: to preserve democracy and promote social cohesion. Be aware of this. A mutual approach is necessary. The views on the importance of their own work diverge greatly between local media and municipalities, as our research shows (Figure 2 & Figure 3). For serious reporting, local media are dependent on receiving contact persons and information from the municipalities in a timely manner. It is in the interest of the municipalities to communicate their own activities extensively. It should be desirable for both the municipalities and the local media to reach as broad a section of the population as possible.
