BACK TO LOCAL MEDIA

The organizations of established local media, which were taken over by a group, were larger in the past with corresponding differentiation and hierarchical levels. In some cases, journalists’ jobs were cut during the integration process, but not the management and hierarchy. This is dysfunctional as many resources as possible should be put into journalistic production. Therefore, when downsizing, make sure to retain as many journalistic positions as possible and adjust management. In the case of financial incentives via bonuses, there should be transparency for all employees as to the criteria according to which these are awarded. Experienced and new employees should have equal opportunities to achieve the relevant targets. You should also make financial flows in your company transparent. This will also reduce the risk of employees with a certain management position taking advantage.
