“We have big entertainment elements three times a year. So, the Easter egg hunt is a classic for us. […] It’s amazing. In the fall, we do a hunting event, where we hide ten cardboard animals.”
- CEO Platform J, formerly Jungfrau Zeitung, translated from German[1]
By organizing events, you can make your brand present, leave a good impression on potential users, and produce content for your medium at the same time. These events can be events such as a panel discussion, a public tour of your medium or an Easter egg hunt for your users.
The Jungfrau Zeitung organizes such an egg hunt for a few days before Easter. On each day, you can follow the clues from the medium and win an Easter egg with gifts, such as a voucher for an overnight stay. The Nouvelliste offers another example of event planning: In its “1 semaine, 1 vallée” series, the editorial team visited a different valley each week and held a discussion round between the local public and the editor-in-chief there.
